Our Miraculous Universe

There is no doubt that we live in a miraculous universe. Miracles happen all the time. Solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems that you could never have conceived of appear out of thin air. Fervent prayers are answered. Unexpected cheques arrive in the mail. Gifts are given. Surprises materialize. Treasured lost items are found. Health is restored. Relationships are rejuvenated. Attitudes are renewed. Angels make their presence known.

The question you have to ask yourself is whether you believe in the power of miracles, or in the power of your fear. Each fearful belief you hold is a choice you make. You may be fearful that you won’t have enough money to pay the bills, that you’re gaining weight, that your relationship is on the rocks, or that you’ll grow old alone. You may fear change, loss, failure, or even success.

Perhaps you fear illness or death… but whatever your fears are, know that you’re not alone. Fear is an epidemic in our society today. Only, it doesn’t have to be this way. The antidote for fear is faith. Faith is a potent force. It’s an unwavering belief in the perfect operation of spiritual laws.

When you know and understand the Divine Laws that govern the universe, you have faith that they will work on your behalf. When faith starts to guide your thinking, miracles find you.

A belief in miracles enables you to see beyond what is happening in the here and now to what could be happening, thus creating the space for something new and wonderful to enter into your life. When you create a miracle mindset and ask for miracles, notice miracles whenever they appear, and give thanks for the occurrences of miracles in your life. You’ll be in awe of the marvels that will unfold.

So how do you manifest miracles in your life? How do you prepare the soil in order for miracles to bloom? Not just now and then, but consistently. And powerfully. And whenever you need them the most…

First you have to understand that miracles are made in the spiritual realm – and when you learn to tune in to this magical realm, wonders never cease. The challenge is to set aside special time for spiritual practice, and to gradually align your life more and more with the deeper calling of living from a place of soul.

God Calling

Many years ago, I came across a little devotional in a bookstore called God Calling. The book is based on apparitions of God to two women who lived together in England in the 1930s. The women are only known as The Listeners. I soon found that this little book worked miracles in my life. With uncanny precision, it consistently provided me with answers to challenging questions, and support during difficult times. When I followed the teachings that seemed to speak to me directly, I was showered with blessings. When I ignored the advice, I paid the price.

With the guidance of God Calling, I navigated the difficult territory of migratingfrom South Africa to Australia in 2001. I secured the position of Senior Psychologist in a Queensland Correctional Centre with no forensic experience, received a grant for $14,000.00 to buy a block of land, and took on the responsibility of building a new life for myself and my family.

I can’t even begin to list all the miracles that helped me get through that stressful period of transition. Of course, it wasn’t the book per se that created all those miracles in my life. I had a fierce belief that I was being led into a bright future. And what I learned in the process was to build connection between my mind and my soul, and my soul and the Divine. It was when I felt most plugged in to the spiritual realm that miracles showed up consistently.

Mind your Thoughts

The way of spirit is a way of opening yourself fully to the infinite abundance of the universe. You can learn to tap into it. You activate miracle-making power with every loving thought that you send out into the universe. You deactivate this force when you give more credence to the reality of the material world than to the spiritual realm where miracles are made.

In her excellent book The Law of Divine Compensation, Marianne Williamson explains that from a metaphysical perspective, every experience begins with a thought, and your experience changes when you change your thoughts. Your thoughts are powerful enough to attract or deflect miraculous breakthroughs.

If you have problems with your health and wellbeing, or in the area of wealth and abundance, or perhaps in a relationship, the first place to look for a solution is in the nature of your thinking. It’s tempting to believe in the scarcity of the material plane over the abundance of the spiritual. But consider this: with every thought you think, you either summon or block a miracle.

Always remember that you are a spiritual being, and that the universe is inherently designed to provide for your needs. The realm of soul is alight with potential and possibility. One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is to create a miracle mindset.

Despite what might seem to be the most challenging of circumstances, you have the power to believe that something else is possible, that your situation can change, and that a miracle is in the making. You can have faith in the Divine and experience wonders and awe, or you can have faith in lack and experience scarcity without end. Your life. Your choice.

‘When a pilot cannot see the horizon because of low visibility, he or she doesn’t assume that the horizon has disappeared. At a time of low visibility, the pilot flies on instruments that can actually gauge a situation more clearly than he can. Faith is like flying on instruments; it’s acting on the assumption that just because you can’t see a possibility at the moment doesn’t mean that it’s not there.’ ~ Marianne Williamson
